Littlefoot
Saturday’s hard-boiled, easy to crack.
Sunday is otherwise,
Amorphous and water-plugged.
Sunday’s the poem without people, all disappeared
Before the shutter is snapped.
Rainy vistas, wet-windowed boulevards, empty entrances.
Across the bridge, dissolute, on-armed,
Monday stares through the viewfinder,
a black hook over its head.
